Overview

Kumamoto University International House Residence A (55 rooms) was constructed in 1985 to house international students and foreign researchers, and to encourage educational and research exchanges. Later, in response to the increasing numbers of international students and foreign researchers, Residence B (57 rooms) was built in 1995, followed by Residence C (36 rooms), D (36 rooms) and E (48 rooms) in November 2009.

Qualifications for the Residence

International students who are enrolled in Kumamoto University, and their families (spouse and children)
Foreign researchers who provide education and perform research at Kumamoto University, and their families (spouse and children)
Others who have received the permission from the Director of the Center for Globarization
