Courtesy Visit by National University of Mongolia

On March 12-13, 2025, a two-member delegation from the National University of Mongolia (NUM) visited Kumamoto University for a courtesy visit to Executive Vice President Tsuyoshi Usagawa. The delegation was comprised of Dr. Otgontsetseg Sukhbaatar, Head of the Center for Faculty Development and Learning Support, and Ms. Tagtaanyam Uuganbayar, Manager of NUM Press Publishing.

Dr. Sukhbaatar obtained her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Science and Technology at Kumamoto University, and Executive Vice President Usagawa was her supervisor at that time. In addition to gathering information about the university's public relations and publishing activities, the visit aims to strengthen the network between the two universities.

During the visit, Dr. Sukhbaatar and Ms. Uuganbayar were given an overview of Kumamoto University by Executive Vice President Usagawa, providing them with a deeper understanding of the university’s recent developments. The delegation also engaged in discussions with staff involved in public relations and received an introduction to the Central Library, along with a tour of its facilities.

This visit serves to further enhance communication between the two institutions, laying the groundwork for future collaborative endeavors.
