Extension of the Agreements with Ege University, Turkey
Professor Isao Taniguchi, President of Kumamoto University, visited Ege University, Turkey, on May 24, 2010 with which Kumamoto University has ongoing agreements for academic exchange and student exchange. During the visit, Prof Taniguchi participated in the official signing ceremony for further extension of the agreements. The two universities started collaborating in the year 1999, and many students from Ege University come to Kumamoto University every year on student exchange programs and for higher studies. Also, in the year 2009, Kumamoto University established its Liaison Laboratory at the Ege University campus, for significantly enhancing the teaching and research interactions. The collaborative activities between the two universities are expected to increase and reach new heights in the coming days. After the signing ceremony, Prof Taniguchi visited the various facilities of Ege University and the Liaison Laboratory.
