The Kumamoto Innovative Development Organization (KIDO) was established on April 1st, 2017 with the aim of contributing to the development of the Kumamoto region. In April 2018, KIDO was reorganized as a unified consulting department that provides systematic and strategic solutions to the needs and problems of the Kumamoto region. KIDO works actively in industry promotion, creation of employment opportunities, reconstruction after the Kumamoto Earthquakes of 2016, local problem solving, and developing community-oriented human resources.
