Employment in Japan almost always requires Japanese language proficiency of N3 or higher on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). To support international students who wish to find work in Japan, Kumamoto University provides an e-learning system that is especially geared toward graduate students who are working on their degree in English. It helps students efficiently acquire Japanese language skills needed to find employment by translating newspaper articles into clear and simple Japanese.
