Professor and Students from NTNU’s GF-EMBA Program Visit Kumamoto University
On March 2, 2026, Kumamoto University welcomed a delegation of 22 visitors from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), including Professor Yenchun Jim Wu and 18 students from the GF-EMBA (Global Fashion Executive Master of Business Administration) program. Established in 2016, the GF-EMBA program is an interdisciplinary MBA program that integrates fashion industry management with the fields of design and aesthetics. As part of a five-day visit to Japan aimed at exploring industries in the Kyushu region, the delegation visited several locations in Kumamoto, including Kumamoto University, Tsuruya Department Store, and the Kumamon Sales Manager's Office.During their time at Kumamoto University, faculty members from the School of Social Innovation introduced the university and presented practical examples of regional revitalization through collaboration among industry, government, academia, and finance. They also introduced the educational initiatives planned by the School of Social Innovation, which is scheduled to open in April 2026 and aims to foster leaders who can drive regional and global innovation. Following the presentation, student ambassadors from Kumamoto University guided the delegation around campus, including the Memorial Museum of the Fifth High School, providing an opportunity for the visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the University’s history and campus life.
This visit is expected to further promote academic and student exchange between Kumamoto University and NTNU.
