Kumamoto University Participates in the Inaugural UI Globe Fair 2025 at Universitas Indonesia
Kumamoto University, a long-standing partner of Universitas Indonesia (UI) since 2015, was honored to participate in the inaugural UI Globe Fair 2025, held from December 8 to 10 at Universitas Indonesia in Depok. The event brought together 22 universities from around the world and attracted a strong turnout.
The first day opened with an official ceremony, followed by exhibition sessions at each university booth. More than 500 UI students had pre-registered, along with lecturers, high school students, and other visitors keen to learn about Kumamoto University’s diverse opportunities.
On the same day, Ms. Mia Hernawati from Kumamoto University Liaison Office / Study in Japan ITS Office (Surabaya) delivered a presentation, attended by members of the UI International Office management as well as visitors interested in academic pathways and scholarship opportunities in Japan.
Throughout the fair, the Kumamoto University booth welcomed over 120 visitors. Many engaged in meaningful one-on-one consultations, listening attentively to information on academic programs, admission procedures, scholarships, and student life in Japan. The booth remained active throughout the day, reflecting strong interest from Indonesian students in studying in Japan.
Kumamoto University extends its sincere appreciation to Universitas Indonesia for the invitation and warm collaboration. We hope that participation in the UI Globe Fair 2025 will further strengthen the partnership between two institutions and encourage more Indonesian students to explore study opportunities at Kumamoto University and beyond.
