Delegation from Vietnam National University and Vietnam-Japan University Visited Kumamoto University
From December 4 to 5, a delegation from Vietnam National University and Vietnam-Japan University visited Kumamoto University.During the visit, the three universities exchanged views on the potential for future collaboration in education and research, and confirmed their intention to proceed with full-scale discussions toward the possible conclusion of an inter-university academic exchange agreement.
On December 5, a courtesy visit and luncheon were held for President Hisao Ogawa. Both sides exchanged views in a friendly and constructive atmosphere regarding their respective strengths in education and research, as well as future directions for international cooperation.
During the visit, Kumamoto University also introduced the educational and research features of the Faculty of Engineering and the Graduate School of Science and Technology, along with initiatives for human resource development in the Semiconductor Device Program within the Faculty of Engineering. Discussions were held on concrete possibilities for future educational and research cooperation, particularly in the engineering field, with a focus on semiconductors, and views were exchanged on directions for potential joint education and research collaboration.
The delegation also toured relevant educational and research facilities, which helped deepen their understanding of Kumamoto University’s practical education and research environment.
This visit is expected to serve as a foundation for building and developing a cooperative relationship between Kumamoto University, Vietnam National University, and Vietnam-Japan University through continued dialogue.
