Delegation from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) Visits Kumamoto University

On November 14, 2025, a delegation of 16 faculty members from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), led by Vice President Prof. Shu-Fen Ko, paid a courtesy visit to Kumamoto University. The delegation met with Executive Vice President Jun Otani and Prof. Ikuro Mizumoto (Vice Dean, Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology) and exchanged introductions on the profiles of both universities.
 
This visit was made possible through the introduction of Mr. Hiroshi Shimokawa, an alumnus of Kumamoto University, following a request from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, which expressed interest in establishing collaboration with Kumamoto University.
 
After the meeting, the delegation joined a campus tour, including a visit to the Memorial Museum of the Fifth High School. The visit served as a valuable step toward building a cooperative relationship between Kumamoto University and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology.
