Inspiring Pathways to Japan: Study in Japan Roadshow at UNDANA, Indonesia
On September 16, 2025 Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA) welcomed the “Study in Japan Roadshow” at the Rectorate Building Auditorium, organized by Kumamoto University Liaison Office at ITS/Study in Japan ITS Office. The event aimed to provide students and young faculty members with first-hand insights into academic opportunities, scholarships, and cultural experiences in Japan. It drew an enthusiastic crowd of 60 participants, including undergraduate students and early-career faculty members.Distinguished guests included Dr. Chatarina Behar, Director of the International Relationship Office, and Prof. Kalvein Rantelobo, Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering and Head of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Center, who previously joined a three-month exchange program at Kumamoto University. Their presence highlighted UNDANA’s strong commitment to building global academic networks, particularly with Kumamoto University. Both of them gave opening remarks, followed by a comprehensive presentation on Japan’s higher education system, study programs, application procedures, and a wide range of scholarship opportunities.
The session included an interactive Q&A, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers. A symbolic souvenir exchange ceremony between Kumamoto University and UNDANA further reinforced the partnership between the two institutions.
To provide more personalized support, a one-on-one consultation session was held at the International Relationship Office, where participants received tailored guidance for their academic journeys.
The event was a success, leaving participants inspired and eager to explore study opportunities in Japan. It is hoped that this roadshow will encourage more UNDANA students and faculty to pursue international academic experiences and become global leaders.

Greetings from Dr. Chatarina Behar, Director of the International Relationship Office
