Kumamoto University Will Host the “2025 Japan-Taiwan University Presidents’ Forum”
Kumamoto University will serve as the host institution for the “2025 Japan-Taiwan University Presidents’ Forum,” which will be held in Kumamoto on July 16, 2025.
The main theme of the forum is “The Future of the Region: Challenges of Universities in Japan and Taiwan in the Innovative Era.” Over 150 participants, including university presidents,vice presidents and other higher education professionals from both Japan and Taiwan, are expected to attend. Discussions will focus on key topics such as promoting student and researcher exchanges, strengthening collaboration with local industries, the role of universities in responding to natural disasters, and the digital transformation (DX) of higher education.
Through this forum, Kumamoto University aims to further promote collaboration between Japanese and Taiwanese universities while accelerating its own strategic partnerships.
