Kumamoto University promoted at 2011 China Education Expo in Shanghai
Kumamoto University attended 2011 China Education Expo held at Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Hall on October 22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun), 2011 in conjunction with many other institutes gathering from North America, Oceania and Europe. The Expo was blessed by good weather and drew a crowd of students and some parents who waited in lines for the opening, showing a high interest in international education. There were about 40 groups of students and their parents visited the booth of Kumamoto University by listening eagerly to the description of KU and asking questions of interests. In spite of a concern on the impact of great earthquake, there was in total 1,319 visitors showed up at the booths of Japanese Universities, approaching to the last year’s attendance of 1,336. There is a high demand for students in Shanghai to study abroad. It is expected that the opening of our joint Shanghai Office with Kumamoto prefecture and Kumamoto city will appeal more to Chinese students.
