Kumamoto University Global Academic Excellence Seminar at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam
On November 9, Kumamoto University conducted the 2nd Global Academic Excellence Seminarat Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam. The seminar, initiated in 2011 and first held at Shenzhen University in China on October 31, 2011, is to present oversea partner universities with the most resent progress on research, education and international exchange occurred at Kumamoto University in a brand new form of seminar so as to effectively recruitinternational studentsand reinforce active research exchange. Description on Kumamoto University, including some distinctive researches and lab activity of graduate students, was given to about 150 audiences of HCMUT, who listened with interests. Mr. Leu Tho Bach, associate professor with HCMUT and alumni of Kumamoto University, talked about his experience at Kumamoto University, which brought certainly the listeners with an opportunity to get familiar to the studying and living in Kumamoto. Many questions were received in the end of each lecture, suggesting high interests from the attendants.
After the seminar, a gathering dinner party was performed. Attendants from HCMUT extended their further interests in admission of Kumamoto University and living in Kumamoto, implying a reliable feedback for students from Vietnam to increase.
