TSMC Hosted an Insightful Event on Discovering the Semiconductor Industry at Kumamoto University
On June 13, 2024, TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd.) hosted an enlightening event titled “Discovering the Semiconductor Industry: Your Key to a Successful Career” at Kumamoto University.
The event featured expert speakers from JASM (Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing, Inc.), TSMC Japan Design Technology and TSMC Japan 3DIC R&D Center, who provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in semiconductor R&D, introduction of TSMC's business operations in Japan, and various career pathways within the semiconductor industry.
Over 70 students from Kumamoto University participated in this event, engaging in lively discussions with the speakers on a wide range of topics, from the semiconductor technology specifics to workplace dynamics. Students also had opportunities to connect with Kumamoto University alumni, currently working as engineers at JASM, gaining firsthand insights into potential career prospects. Following the workshop, a networking gathering with light refreshments allowed attendees to further interact more closely with the speakers, fostering meaningful connections and deeper discussions.
The event was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and better informed about the frontier dynamics of semiconductor industry. It not only enriched their understanding of career opportunities but also expected to ignite their passion for future endeavors in the semiconductor field.
