【For Privately Financed International Students Enrolling in October 2026】Application for Admission Fee Exemption/Postponement and Tuition Fee Exemption for the Second Semester of AY2026

(Note)
  • Applicants for Admission Fee Exemption/Postponement must not pay the admission fee until the results are announced.
  • "Admission Fee Postponement” is to allow postponement of payment of the admission fee, not exemption.
  • Students applying for tuition exemption only (e.g., students advancing from a master’s program to a doctoral program) should also download the Application Guidebook below.
  • Students enrolling in October may apply only for a tuition fee exemption for the second semester during this application period. If you wish to apply for a full-year tuition fee exemption, please submit a full-year application during the application period for the first semester of the following academic year.

【Eligibility】
 Privately Financed International Students who meet the academic and financial criteria
(Please refer to 08_4_Admission Fee Exemption and Postponement / 08_5_Tuition Fee Exemption).

【How to apply】
Privately Financed International Students who want to apply for Admission Fee Exemption / Postponement and Tuition fee Exemption for the second semester of AY 2026 must complete the two-step application process.
(Application Step 1) Enter the required information in the online application system.
(Application Step 2) After completing the online entry, print the forms, fill them out, and send them together with the required documents via Japan Post Letter Pack Light.

(Note)
  • To apply for Admission Fee Exemption/Postponement and Tuition Fee Exemption for the second semester of AY2026, you must complete the online admission procedures and registration in advance.
  • If you were residing in Japan as of January 1, 2026, please prepare an income (taxation) certificate for 2026 showing your income earned in 2025. If you have a spouse, please also prepare the same certificate for your spouse. (Those under 18 years of age are not required to submit this certificate.)
