The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Tokyo made a courtesy call on Kumamoto University
Mr. Martin TOMČO, The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Tokyo made a courtesy call to President OGAWA Hisao and Trustee and Vice President OTANI Jun (International Affairs) on November 9th, 2021. KAWAMURA Yoshihito, the Director of Magnesium Research Center, who has conducted collaborative research with the Czech Republic, and DROZDENKO Daria, a researcher from Charles University (Prague) also joined the meeting.
The University of Bohemia is one of Kumamoto University’s six partner universities in Czech. We have been exchanging students constantly, and a lot of collaborative research has been done and continues to this day.
The meeting included a report on the history of exchanges between Kumamoto University and Czech partner universities, as well as a discussion about resuming exchanges after COVID-19.
This courtesy call was a great opportunity for us to inform the Ambassador about Kumamoto University, and the same time expand possibilities for future exchanges involving both students and researchers.
