The University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic) concluded a University-level Exchange Agreement with Kumamoto University

On February 7th, 2020, Kumamoto University concluded an academic and student exchange agreement with the University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic).
 
Although the University of West Bohemia is a new university established some 30 years ago, it has signed agreements with 458 universities and institutes in 58 countries, mainly European countries, for student exchange and joint research. They are also actively engaged in joint research and development with private companies, conducting researches using laboratories equipped with the latest equipment. In addition, they are focusing on developing global human resources and increasing the number of classes that can be taken in English.
 
At the signing ceremony held at the University of West Bohemia, Doc. Ing. Pavel Baroch, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation and Public Affairs, and Ing. Dita Hommerova, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, signed the agreement and concluded with a firm handshake with Prof. FURUSHIMA Mikio, Trustee and Vice President of Kumamoto University.
 
After the agreement was concluded, they exchanged views on initiatives to stimulate exchanges between the two universities, and toured research and educational facilities and libraries.
 
This agreement is expected to promote exchanges among university faculty, researchers and students.
