About the Bomb Warning Against Kumamoto University
On July 6 (Monday), Kumamoto University received an e-mail that stated, "The main buildings of Kumamoto University will be bombed by 3pm on July 10.” These e-mails have recently been sent to several universities, including our University.
With the cooperation of the police, we are currently working to check for suspicious objects in the university's facilities, to be on alert for suspicious persons, and to patrol the area around the premises. The University has enhanced security.
We would like to ask all of you, including the faculty, staff and students of Kumamoto University take extra caution and be aware of any suspicious activity. If you see a suspicious object, please do not touch it, and contact the person in charge below for assistance.
We will continue to be on high alert and take the necessary measures in cooperation with the police.
