In consideration of the recent situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) in Japan, Kumamoto University has made the difficult decision to cancel its Entrance Ceremony for the 2020 academic year that scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the Kumamoto Prefectural Theater.
All new students, their parents and families are undoubtedly looking forward to the important day that will be the start of a new life, but from perspective of preventing the spread of infection, Kumamoto University greatly regrets that it was forced to make this decision in order to prioritize the health and safety of all participants.
In addition, regarding the guidance and class schedule after enrollment, we are still considering, depending on changes from now on in the infection and government policies. We will inform you of the changes on the Kumamoto University website, so we would like to request you to check the website from time to time to obtain the latest information.
