In consideration of the recent situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019), Kumamoto University has made the difficult decision to cancel its Graduation Ceremony for the 2019 academic year that scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Kumamoto Prefectural Theater.
All students expected to graduate or complete their degrees and their families were undoubtedly looking forward to precious event that will become especially important day in their memory, but from perspective of preventing the spread of infection, Kumamoto University greatly regrets that it is was forced to make this decision in order to prioritize the health and safety of all people who intended to participate.
Also, the award of the certifications of graduation and completion will be changed to mail from same perspective.
