Courtesy visit to Kumamoto University by Research Fellow Lu Xiaowei and Deputy Director Zheng Mingdong of Harbin Institute of Technology
On May 19th, Research Fellow Lu Xiaowei and Deputy Director Zheng Mingdong from the International Office at Harbin Institute of Technology in China paid a courtesy visit to President Taniguchi and Vice President Ihara (in charge of international exchange).Harbin Institute of Technology has an ongoing academic collaboration agreement with our university.
Kumamoto University entered into inter-university academic collaboration and exchanged agreements with the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2009. Since then, our universities have undertaken academic exchanges involving researchers and teachers. During this visit, we introduced our universities to each other, exchanged views on the promotion of future relations, and agreed to further develop future relations between our institutions.
Before the courtesy visit, Mr. Lu and Mr. Zheng visited the Magnesium Research Center. Associate Professor Kim gave an overview of the center and gave our visitors a guided tour of the facility. They showed great interest in our university’s cutting-edge research.
