Executive Vice President Otani Participates in the 3rd Japan-ASEAN University Exchange Meeting
On August 22, 2026, the 3rd Japan-ASEAN University Exchange Meeting, organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), was held at Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo. Executive Vice President Jun Otani participated in the meeting on behalf of the University.
Presidents, vice presidents, and other representatives from universities in Japan and ASEAN countries attended the meeting and exchanged views under the theme “Deepening Japan-ASEAN University Collaboration through Talent Circulation and Co-Creation.” Discussions focused on topics including the promotion of international joint research, the development and exchange of young researchers, and the strengthening of inter-university networks.
Kumamoto University will continue to promote educational and research exchanges with universities in the ASEAN region and further strengthen its international partnerships.
