Delegation from National Changhua University of Education Visits Kumamoto University

On August 3, 2026, a delegation from National Changhua University of Education (NCUE), Taiwan, led by President Ming-Fei Chen, visited Kumamoto University and met with Executive Vice President Jun Otani, Professor Toshihiro Ihara, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology, and other faculty members.
 
During the meeting, representatives from both universities introduced their respective strengths in education and research and exchanged views on opportunities for future collaboration. In particular, the participants discussed potential research and educational collaboration in semiconductor-related fields. NCUE also introduced its initiatives to develop semiconductor talent in collaboration with TSMC and other semiconductor-related companies.
 
The participants also discussed the possibility of building on researcher-to-researcher collaboration and expanding the partnership to include student exchanges and short-term study programs in the future.
 
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Memorial Museum of the Fifth High School. The visit is expected to contribute to further development of educational and research exchanges between the two universities.
