Photo Exhibition Showcasing the History and Present of Kumamoto University Held at TBICS 2026
From June 25 to 27, 2026, Kumamoto University held a photo exhibition showcasing its history and present at the APSCE TBICS Festival of Learning 2026 (TBICS 2026), an international conference held at the Kumamoto Prefectural Exchange Center Parea. The exhibition was organized with the cooperation of Professor Takumi Matsunaga, Vice Director of the Organization for Kumamoto University Campus Museum.
TBICS 2026 is an international conference focusing on themes such as artificial intelligence (AI) in education, learning analytics, and language education, attracting researchers and educators primarily from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The exhibition featured photographs introducing the history of Kumamoto University dating back to the era of the former Fifth High School, as well as photographs showcasing the present-day campus. Through these displays, visitors were introduced to the University's rich history and its current campus.
Kumamoto University will continue to promote its education and research activities and strengthen international engagement as a globally connected university.
