“Future Artists Postcard Art Exhibition (Taiwan × Kumamoto)” Held at Kumamoto University

The “Future Artists Postcard Art Exhibition (Taiwan × Kumamoto),” organized by Professor Takumi Matsunaga’s research group in the Faculty of Education at Kumamoto University, is currently being held at Kumamoto University. This community-based project aims to foster exchange between Kumamoto and Taiwan while giving children opportunities to experience the freedom and joy of artistic expression, as well as the pleasure of presenting their own works. Under the theme “My Favorite Kumamoto,” “My Favorite Taiwan,” or “My Favorite ○○,” the exhibition features postcard artworks created by children from Taiwan and Kumamoto, ranging from infants to high school students.

The exhibition is being presented at several venues, including Kumamoto University, the Contemporary Art Museum Kumamoto, and Tsutaya Bookstore. The postcards depict the children’s favorite aspects of their communities, including the landscapes, food, daily life, and culture of Taiwan and Kumamoto. The children’s unique perspectives, free imagination, and vivid use of color allow visitors to experience the charms of Taiwan and Kumamoto.

Kumamoto University will continue to promote international exchange and support the development of children’s creativity through collaboration with local communities and educational institutions overseas.
