KU professors give special lecture at Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology, China

During January 8-11, 2011, Prof Kenji Furukawa, Prof Shuichi Torii and Assoc. Prof Shigeru Morimura of the Graduate School of Science and Technology visited Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology, China with which our University has ongoing agreement for academic collaboration.
 
On January 10, the visiting team delivered special lectures (Prof Furukawa on the Development of Anammox Technology; Prof Torii on the Application of Nano Molecules on the Temperature Flow; Assoc. Prof Morimura on the Effective use of Food byproducts.) About 300 freshman students, faculty and stuff at Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology attended the lecture.
 
In the afternoon, the visiting team had an official meeting was organized to  discuss about further strengthening academic collaboration and the student exchanges between the two universities.At present, three students graduated from Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology, are studying at the Graduate School of Science and Technology of Kumamoto University.
