For the purpose of seeking newly cooperative relationships with universities in Shanghai, Kumamoto University staff made courtesy visits to Shanghai Sanda University on January 11th, and Shanghai University on January 12th.
Shanghai Sanda University was established in 1992 as the first private university in China, while Shanghai University is a comprehensive university comprising of approximately 50,000 students, and is designated as one of the key higher education institutions in Shanghai directly under the Municipal Government. Through the Kumamoto University Forum, the opening of the Kumamoto Shanghai Office, and related events, it is expected that exchanges between China and Kumamoto University will be further strengthened.
