Application for Tuition Exemption for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2021 (Privately Financed International Students)
The application method for tuition fee exemption will change.From the second semester of the academic year 2021, the tuition fee exemption application method for privately financed international students will be changed to a two-step application.
(First application) Input into the online application system
(Second application) Submit the application documents (printed out and filled in after inputting into the system) by mail.
【Attention】Please note that the application procedure is different for students enrolled in October.
【Eligibility】
1) Those who have not do the Tuition fee exemption application for the academic year 2021 and wish to apply for the tuition fee exemption for the second semester.
2) Those who have do the tuition fee exemption application for the academic year 2021, but There is a change in living costs or family information that needs to be amended that you had applied documents.
(example for changes.)
･It be able to get a new scholarship, so that receive less money from family, or withdrew less from savings.
･It was cancelled receiving the scholarship, or It's period of entitlement has ended.
･It has started, or stopped part-time job.
･It summons own family and live with them.
･It has added to own family (had a baby).
･A family member has returned to own country, or has been unable to enter Japan after leaving Japan temporarily, etc.
【Attention】Those who have applied for the full year of 2021 and have not made any changes do not need to apply again.

If you were living in Japan on 1 January this year, please prepare Income(tax)certificate of FY2021(for income earned during 2020). If you have a family, please prepare the same for them.
【Attention】It has been found that an error message will be displayed when those who wish to apply for the tuition fee exemption for the second semester of the academic year 2021 with "Application for change " try to enter "Application for change " in the "Application System for Entrance and Tuition Fees Exemption.
