Kumamoto University was one of two Japanese universities to participate in the “Japan E-Course Program get your Study in Japan with scholarship (Indonesia)” [sic] study abroad fair to acquaint Indonesian students interested in studying in Japan with life and research at Kumamoto University.
The event was hosted by Okayama University using MEXT’s “Study in Japan Global Network Project (South Asia)“ and co-organized by Studec International of Indonesia.
During Kumamoto University’s portion of the event, Ms. Mia Hernawati from the Kumamoto University Liaison Office at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) provided a detailed introduction of the university, Prof. Toshifumi Mukunoki from the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) spoke about his collaborative research efforts around the world, and Ms. Yang Ratri Savitri, currently a doctoral student from Indonesia who is in Kumamoto University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology (GSST), appeared in a pre-recorded video about her student experience here.
Over 100 students participated in this virtual event, and their many questions were answered in detail through the chat function and in the Q&A session.
