Response to bomb threat targeting Kumamoto University

Kumamoto University received an e-mail that stated, "The main buildings of Kumamoto University will be bombed by 3pm on July 10.” In cooperation with the police and security companies, we checked for suspicious objects in the university's facilities, were on alert for suspicious persons, and patrolled the area around the facilities. There was no damage up to the time of the warning.
After receiving the threat, we are strengthening our security measures.
We will continue to be on high alert and will take the necessary measures for forcible obstruction of business in cooperation with the police.
