Vice President Pays a Courtesy Call on National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan)
On December 13th 2019, Dr. Jun Otani, Vice President of Kumamoto University (KU), paid a courtesy call on Dr. Fong-Chin Su, Vice President of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU).
NCKU is a leading national university in Taiwan, and has been selected as one of the top two universities (along with National Taiwan University) since the launch of the “Promoting Academic Excellence and Developing World Class Research Centers” project in 2005 by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan.
In a round-table discussion, the representatives of the two universities shared their views on expanding the current department-level exchange agreement to a university-level exchange agreement and establishing double-degree program. The meeting ended on a positive note.
It is hoped that further exchanges between our two universities will be cultivated as a result of this visit.
