Announcement regarding damage resulting from the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake

Following the shift of the meeting agenda for Kumamoto Earthquake 2016 into a mid-long term recovery project, the meeting schedule of the Disaster Countermeasures Headquarter has changed, from being held biweekly to weekly, basically held on Monday.
Latest update about the damage of the earthquake will be sorted and released on the home page.
As the meeting will be held today, below are some new information.

              Casualties (Students): Serious injury 1 person, Light injury 96 persons

  • Publicity Campaign of Kumamoto University’s Revitalization
  • University doctors will be sent as coordinator for citizen’s health management of Makishi-machi area, estimated from Monday May 30 until a date to be notified.
  • Volunteer activities organized by Kumamoto University, are introduced on the homepage of Kumamoto University COC (Center of Communities). Please refer to the following URL.
