Human Resource Development Goals at the Faculty of Law

(1) Two aspects of human resource development goals

The Faculty's human resource development goals have two perspectives. The first is to train students so that they can internalize the basic principles of recent judicial reform. Currently, a system to solve various disputes between citizens under fair and transparent legal rules in a proper and timely manner is being constructed so that citizens can ensure their livelihoods and exercise their rights with ease, and so vulnerable people can avoid suffering unreasonable disadvantages incurred by the repeal or relaxation of ex-ante regulations. The Faculty nurtures legal experts who have the qualities and skills to effectively function in this system.

The second perspective of our educational goals is contribution to the community. This is important because of the increased needs for legal protections and solutions to controversies and disputes in various fields that have accompanied the 'legalization' of society. In addition, in line with the trend toward decentralization, the necessity of forming public policy under local initiatives is growing.

(2) Human resource development goals of the undergraduate courses

Based on the above two aspects, three major educational goals have been set with an eye on the students' career paths after graduation. The Faculty aims to:

  • 1. Train students to become legal professionals who will have sufficient qualities and skills.
  • 2. Provide students with the basic skills required to handle corporate legal affairs.
  • 3. Provide students with the fundamental skills required to form public policy and to engage in policy and legal affairs in public administration.
