Kumamoto University AMABIE Scholarship Application

  Since the Academic year 2020, Kumamoto University has been offering a variety of financial support to students in financial need, including tuition fee exemption, the COVID-19 Emergency Financial Aid and Foods support.
  However, due to the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak and other factors, we believe that there are students who are experiencing severe financial difficulties, so we continue with the offering a scholarship (Kumamoto University AMABIE Scholarship) as follows.
  We offer three-type scholarships for A to C. Please note the standards are different for each type. Furthermore, all types will not screen for academic standard. Please check the attached documents carefully and apply for only one of the programs that apply to you.

【How to Apply】
  Those who wish to receive the scholarship must submit the application form and required documents as specified in separate documents to the following address by mail (using the “Letter-pack light*”)

  In addition to the above, we may additionally request the submission of documents and other information to confirm the necessity of the support.

【Application Period】
Friday, December 8, 2021 – Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
※The postmark up to December.15 is valid.

【Notification of the result】
The result will be sent to applicant’s KU e-mail address ([Student No.] @st.kumamotou.ac.jp) in Middle January, 2022.

【Granting of Scholarship】
Late- February,2022. (scheduled)

【Attention】
(1) When you do not submit copies of documents of evidence at the request of the University, your application will not be accepted.
(2) You must be able to confirm enrollment at the university on February 1, 2022.

【Return of Scholarship】
If it is found that any of the following applies, the scholarship shall be returned in full.
(1) When it becomes apparent that a false declaration has been made.
(2) In any other case where it is later found that there is no need for support.
