Kumamoto University established a university exchange agreement with Chiang Mai University (Thailand)

On July 13, 2018, Kumamoto University and Chiang Mai University (Kingdom of Thailand) signed a university-level academic and student exchange agreement.
Chiang Mai University, which has twenty one faculties and three research institutes, is one of the top Universities in research and education in North Thailand. Among other honors, the university was selected as a National Research University in Thailand. The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences of Chiang Mai University and the Faculty of Life Science, the Graduate School of Medical Science and the Center for AIDS Research of Kumamoto University had already established a faculty-level academic and student exchange agreement in November 2017. Now, we have expanded to a university-level agreement to further promote exchanges between our two universities.
On the day of the signing, in order to accelerate future exchanges between our two universities, the Faculty of Medicine of Chiang Mai University and Kumamoto University had a discussion on the double degree program and took tours of research and education facilities, as well as the student dormitory at Chiang Mai University.
We hope that our agreement will encourage further exchanges between our universities and expand those interactions into new areas.
