Regarding Economic Assistance for the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake
To all students and parents/guardians,
This announcement is in regard to economic assistance available for Kumamoto University students who have been affected by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake. Those who wish to apply, please inquire at the contact information listed below after classes have resumed.
In addition, tuition waivers for students who have been affected by the earthquake are being considered. More information will be posted to the University home page as it becomes available.
JASSO Support (one-time monetary aid)
Target Beneficiaries: students whose homes were more than half destroyed by damage caused by the earthquake.
Application Procedure: Guidelines provided by the international students office.
Payment Amount: 100,000 yen (repayment not required)
