Visit by Researchers from Northeastern University, China

A team of researchers from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Northeastern University, China, visited Kumamoto University on April 21, 2010. The team was headed by Mr Ai Guosheng, Vice Manager at Northeastern University, and included Prof Ping Zou, Prof Xuehong He, Prof Sun Wei and Prof Tong Zhu as members. The visitors had an official meeting with Prof Isao Taniguchi, President of Kumamoto University and had detailed deliberations regarding the academic collaboration and student exchange programs between the two universities. Later, these guests were taken around the various research facilities of the Graduate School of Science and Technology. The visit was coordinated by Prof Kenji Furukawa, Vice-President and Director of Center for Globalization, Kumamoto University.  
 
The Academic Agreement is likely to be signed with Northeastern University in the near future, and it is expected that more intense academic collaboration and student exchange activities will take place between the two universities in the days to come.
