Autumn 2026 Graduation Ceremony

On September 25, 2026, Kumamoto University marked a significant milestone for its international and domestic students, hosting the Autumn 2026 Graduation Ceremony at the 100th Anniversary Hall.

This season, a total of 61 students successfully graduated or completed their programs, including 5 undergraduate students, 35 master's degree students, and 21 doctoral degree students. now poised to embark on new stages in their professional and scholarly journeys.

Following the conferral of their degrees, President Hisao Ogawa delivered a congratulatory address, highlighting the university's continuous evolution and forward-looking initiatives. He noted that this April marked the launch of a new academic unit, the “School of Social Innovation,” alongside the opening of Japan's first International Class at a national university-affiliated elementary school, with a corresponding junior high school program to follow next year. Emphasizing that these progressive milestones reflect Kumamoto University's ongoing commitment to pioneering educational excellence at every level, President Ogawa encouraged the graduates to carry this same spirit of innovation and resilience into their own future endeavors.

As a highlight of the ceremony, three outstanding graduates recognized for their exceptional academic excellence and contributions were honored by President Ogawa, who presented them with certificates of merit and commemorative plaques.
