[Emergency] To All Students, Faculty, and Staff

The school closure due to the earthquake on July 28, 2026, will be lifted on Monday, August 3, as safety inspections of facilities and evaluations of the educational environment have been completed.

However, if you have difficulty commuting due to earthquake damage, please do not force yourself to come to campus, and contact your instructor. In such cases, your course instructor will offer alternative arrangements.

Due to the earthquake that occurred on July 28, 2026, classes will be canceled all day on Thursday, July 30, and Friday, July 31, 2026, as a precautionary measure.
 
Information regarding classes starting on Monday, August 3, will be announced around 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31.
 
July 28, 18:26

A major earthquake has just occurred with its epicenter in Kumamoto Prefecture.
 
The university will be temporarily closed today. Please return home or evacuate to a safe location.
 
If you are unable to return home safely, evacuation shelters have been opened at the Center for International Education (MAP：no. 32 building) . Please proceed to one of these locations.
 
　※The Center for International Education (No. 32) is located near the ATM on the Kurokami North Campus.
　You can identify the building by the large sign near the roof that reads "共創学環 (School of social education)"

Due to the earthquake that occurred on July 28, 2026, and as a precautionary measure, all classes will be cancelled for the entire day on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
 
As aftershocks are continuing, please continue to monitor official emergency information and prioritize your personal safety.
