Bridging Global Opportunities: ITS Department of Informatics Hosts an Online Double Degree Program Information Session with Kumamoto University

On February 12, 2026, Kumamoto University's Liaison Office at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia and the Department of Informatics at ITS jointly held an online information session on Zoom to introduce the Double Degree Master’s and Doctoral Programs offered in collaboration with Kumamoto University, Japan.
 
The session was led by Dr. Hudan Studiawan, Head of the Postgraduate Program in Informatics Engineering, and was attended by 53 participants, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, faculty members, as well as an ITS student who has been admitted to the Double Degree Program (DDP) doctoral program at Kumamoto University for enrollment in April 2026. Ms. Mia Hernawati from Kumamoto University’s Liaison Office delivered a presentation introducing Kumamoto University.
 
This event aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the application procedures for the DDP and to provide deeper insights into Kumamoto University, including its academic programs and available opportunities.
 
The session also served as a valuable platform for broadening academic perspectives and raising awareness of international collaboration. More importantly, the event is expected to inspire and encourage students to begin preparing for future participation in the DDP at Kumamoto University. Through this initiative, ITS and Kumamoto University will continue to strengthen their collaboration to foster global academic engagement and support students in pursuing international educational opportunities.
