Visit by the Board of Directors of Chang Jung Christian University, Taiwan

On October 22, 2025, Kumamoto University welcomed a delegation from Chang Jung Christian University, Taiwan.
 
During this visit, President Chen Hsin-liang and eight other delegates from Chang Jung Christian University and representatives from Kumamoto University, including President Hisao Ogawa, Executive Vice President Toyofumi Mizumoto, Professor Masahiko Ito, Dean of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Associate Professor Tomoya Yamaguchi of the School of Social Innovation held a meeting.
 
The discussions covered reaffirming the long-standing friendly relations between the two universities and actively exchanging opinions on possibilities for future student and faculty exchanges. Notably interest in exchanges in the medical field was expressed by Chang Jung Christian University. Furthermore, Kumamoto University provided an introduction of “School of Social Innovation”, which will be newly established next academic year, and the concept of new exchange programs.
 
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Memorial Museum of the Fifth High School, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. After that, the delegation met with two international students from Chang Jung Christian University who are currently studying at Kumamoto University and was delighted to hear about their fulfilling experiences at Kumamoto University. The students were greatly encouraged by the visit from their home university.
 
This courtesy visit by the Chang Jung Christian University delegation proved to be a highly significant opportunity to further deepen academic and student exchanges between the two universities and to broaden new possibilities for future collaboration.
