Kumamoto University Kicked Off Indonesian Roadshow: A Gateway to Studying in Japan

On August 29, the Kumamoto University (KU) Liaison Office at ITS, Indonesia, launched its highly anticipated roadshow, marking the first stop in a series of seminars aimed at introducing Indonesian students to the opportunities of studying at KU and in Japan. The roadshow, organized by Ms. Mia Hernawati, a dedicated staff member at the KU Liaison Office at ITS, kicked off with sessions at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) and Universitas Negeri Malang (UM).

Designed to spark interest among Indonesian students, this inaugural event was strategically held at UB in the morning and UM in the afternoon. The one-day event featured a comprehensive two-hour program that included engaging presentations, insightful videos, and firsthand experiences shared by alumni and students preparing for exchange programs at KU this October. The sessions also featured a Q&A segment and a fun quiz, offering participants a well-rounded perspective on studying in Japan. Additionally, valuable tips on preparing for applications and securing scholarships were provided.

The roadshow attracted a strong turnout, with over 200 students participating—around 100 of whom attended in person. This successful event is just the beginning, with upcoming roadshow sessions scheduled to take place at universities in Yogyakarta and Bandung. We look forward to welcoming even more participants as the roadshow continues.
