The 5th KU-KAIST Joint Symposium was held on October 20th-21st, 2022 at Kumamoto

The 5th KU-KAIST Joint Symposium was held between the 20th & 21st of October 2022 at Kumamoto University's IRCMS. The first collaborative symposium between our two institutions was held on the 22nd of October 2018 at KAIST in Deajeon, Korea.

Following the opening remarks by IRCMS's Director, Dr. Toshio Suda, six researchers from KU and ten researchers from KAIST gave talks on the state-of-the-art research transpiring at their respective institutions through five different sessions: Hepatic Metabolism & Fibrosis, the Keynote session, Micro-Nano Environment & Genetic Engineering, Nano-Technologies & Disease, KU-KAIST Joint Research Results, and another Nano-Technologies & Disease session on the second day. A poster session was held concurrently with the afternoon sessions on the 20th. Students and researchers alike enjoyed the presentations and discussions, with more than 97 participants exchanging ideas and opinions on each research theme. Prof. Injune Kim from KAIST's College of Life Science & Bioengineering provided the closing remarks.
