Other scholarships for privately-funded students

Privately funded students are eligible to apply for the scholarships listed below after enrolling in Kumamoto University. The application period qualification requirements and the contents of each scholarship are subject to change. Information on each scholarship will be posted on the bulletin board of the Center for G. In addition, be sure to submit scholarship application forms to the office for International students (Kyomukikaku-kakari) or the International Student Office.

Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students (Gakushu Shoreihi)

Mizuno Teijiro Memorial Foundation Scholarship

Docomo Scholarship

・Application Period: Around April
・Qualification: Privately funded first-year master's course students from Asian countries who are studying IT
・Stipend: ￥120,000 / month

Korean Scholarship Foundation

・Application Period: Around April
・Qualification: Privately funded full-time undergraduate or graduate students from South Korea
・Stipend: undergraduates = ¥ 25,000/month; master's course students = ¥ 40,000/month; doctoral course students = ¥ 70,000/month

KDDI Foundation Scholarship

・Qualification: Privately funded full-time graduate students who are studying IT Field

Saneyoshi Scholarship

・Application Period: September to October
・Qualification: Privately funded full-time undergraduate, graduate, or research students in engineering and science
・Stipend: ￥250,000 / year

Asia International Friendship Scholarship (Kawaguchi Shizuka Memorial Scholarship)

・Application Period: November to mid-December
・Qualification: Privately funded students from Asian countries who will be continuing their full-time undergraduate or graduate studies in the next academic year
・Stipend: undergraduates, master course students ￥60,000 / monthdoctoral course students ￥70,000 / month

Iwatani International Students Scholarship

・Qualification: Privately funded students from East Asia or Southeast Asia who will be pursuing graduate studies in the next academic year in the field of natural science

Sagawa Scholarship

・Qualification: Privately funded students from Southeast Asian countries who will be in their third year of undergraduate studies, in their first year in a master's course, or in their second year in a doctoral course (or third year in a doctoral course in Medicine) in the next academic year
・Stipend: ￥100,000 / month

Konan Asia Scholarship

・Application Period: February to March
・Qualification: Privately funded students from Asian countries who will be in their fourth year of undergraduate studies, in their second year in a master's course, or in their last year in a doctoral course during the next academic year
