With our modern world currently undergoing what is often referred to as the "legalization of society," there is an increased demand for legal professionals with a deep and broad knowledge of law as well as personnel with fundamental legal research abilities. In order to meet these societal needs, this major offers two educational courses: the Legal Specialist Course, which is aimed at advanced professionals (judicial clerks, tax councilors, and social insurance consultants) capable of solving the multitude of complex legal issues that occur in the modern society, and the Legal Research Course, which develops intellectuals capable of dealing with the legalization of society (those seeking a career in educational research, public servants, and corporate lawyers).

Admission Policy

This major seeks people attempting to solve the increasingly complex and diverse legal issues plaguing the modern society using broad and in-depth knowledge of the law, namely those seeking to be the judicial clerks, tax councilors, and social insurance consultants, those currently working in these fields, or those seeking a career in research or public service.
