International Research Organization for Advanced Science and Technology (IROAST)
The International Research Organization for Advanced Science and
Technology (IROAST), established in April 2016, is a Center of Excellence
at Kumamoto University that promotes world-class, cutting-edge research
in science and technology. Featuring a standardized international research
environment that collaborates globally, the Organization utilizes a tenuretrack personnel system.
IROAST encourages international collaboration to establish international research networks, recruit and develop excellent young researchers, promote ongoing leading-edge research, and initiate innovative interdisciplinary research projects. The Organization currently focuses on four areas of science and technology: Nanomaterial Science, Green Energy, Environmental Science, and Advanced Green Bio. IROAST aims to create robust international research networks of excellent overseas researchers and institutions in order to ultimately be a prominent global hub of cuttingedge research.
