The Center for Clinical Legal Education and Research

An environment in the center of town nurtures a genuine legal profession and familiarizes students with a range of legal issues.

The Center for Clinical Legal Education and Research (Law Center) was established as a clinical department that can provide specialist education and research of clinical law.

Through clinical legal research (legal clinic) conducted at the Law Center, students come into contact with actual cases and come face-to-face with clients, gaining practical experience integrated with theories and learning ethics needed for the legal profession.

Functions

Clinical Education

Gaining hands-on experience of legal practice that targets actual clients, students experience and learn the ways in which legal theory is put into practice, with practical exercises such as listening practice, composing legal documents, and data collection conducted through such areas.

Practical Training

In order to put into practice both theory and education, we provide a practical legal training for our researchers who also serve as teachers, and we also develop the teaching content and methods in collaboration with instructors who are actual practitioners of law.

Function of Clinical Legal Research

As a collection of legal skills comprising researchers and practitioners of law, we actively tackle cases in cutting edge and composite fields and apply the results of this research back into the actual practice of law.

Contribution to the Community

We strive to contribute to the community and society by providing legal aid to those people who lack financial resources and who are troubled with legal issues.

Crisis Management

We aim to contribute to the prevention and solution of disputes regarding a range of problematic legal issues that occur in managing and running a university.
